Gnome Fest 12 is an all inclusive backwoods event.  Registration for Gnome Fest includes a weekend of camping, camaraderie, bon fires, well groomed trail riding and a series of unofficial events in which you may choose to participate, spectate or have no participation what-so-ever.  Your registration also earns you a T-Shirt which you will receive once you arrive at the fest grounds, and a raffle ticket for the prize drawing that will be held Saturday night before the Burning of the Bike.

We do ask that you be cool and register for the event.  While we're not going to make a big deal about it, "Poaching" the event is frowned upon, and here's why.

The Hirsch Farm trail system was built by volunteers over 20 years ago and has been host to events like the Block House Roll Mtn Bike Race, The Platty Fatty Winter Night Race,The Block House Trail Run, and the Plattucky PBR Enduro series.  The equipment, fuel and labor used to build and maintain the fest ground and trails has been loaned from patrons and supporters of mountain biking in South West Wisconsin and North East Iowa.  The time to maintain this trail system is all donated by hard working volunteers, including Chain Reaction Cycling club of Dubuque, Iowa and Platteville Human Powered Trails of Platteville Wisconsin, and the Mark Hirsch Family.  The majority of the money, time, labor, tools and materials used to successfully host events here are possible by the fees collected through event registration.

A portion of your registration fee goes to paying for things like tents, prizes, t-shirts, food and beverages.  Another portion will be donated to PHPT and other groups who have worked hard and invested time into making the fest grounds and trail system a place that you are invited to enjoy with other like minded folks for a weekend.  These trails are a privilege, not a right, and I hope everyone is looking forward to enjoying this weekend with each other.  So please, support trail building and trail events by registering Gnome Fest 12.

Thank You, and we look forward to seeing you in September.
